The Two Words That Will Improve Your Business
I told a friend recently that if you could look inside my brain it would look like the Nasdaq ticker; just a constant stream of information and a running to-do list. I told her that it helps me to write it all down in the form of a brain dump so that I can see things clearly. This provides a lot of relief so that I don't have to spend the mental energy remembering. This practice helps me to stay organized so that the important things in my life don't fall through the cracks or get overlooked.
Similarly, we have onboarding processes and systems in my company so that each one of our clients have an excellent experience when they join us. When they are fully onboarded we have quality checks in place so that their content hits the internet as best it could possibly be. We keep track of the performance of what we produce so that we can see what resonates with their audience and create more of that content.
Maybe you've caught it; the two most important words in the marketing vernacular: So That. "So that" solves a host of problems but gets to the root of why things matter. Your audience for example, doesn't care so much about your processes and systems until they know how it benefits them. "So that" is the bridge that ties it all together.
An exercise for you: Think about the way you introduce yourself & your business when you're networking. Does it have a "so that" in it? Consider adding one.
Here's mine as an example: "Good marketing makes value visible so that people who need each other can find one another."
That's the root of what we do at Willow & Oak and why it matters, so that people can find one another. When you create marketing content for your company, use "so that" in your copy.
To Your Success,
Kelly
